Axion accounts run in a simulated trading environment, and you're expected to trade as if your account were a real funded account. Strategies whose only purpose is to exploit simulated conditions — rather than reflect genuine market trading — are prohibited at every stage, during both the evaluation and the funded phase. This guide lists what's not allowed and why.
Exploiting the platform or price feed
- Trading on platform errors — Taking advantage of server glitches, frozen or off-market quotes, or execution delays to secure risk-free profit.
- Latency and feed arbitrage — Using a faster or external price source, or a lag between the simulated feed and the real market, to enter trades with a known outcome.
- Arbitrage — Exploiting price differences between feeds, brokers or correlated instruments in a way that isn't genuine market trading.
- High-frequency trading (HFT) — Ultra-fast, high-volume automated execution designed to exploit micro-movements or the feed.
- Abusive tick scalping — Rapid open/close activity that exploits tiny simulated pricing gaps rather than real market moves.
Gambling and guaranteed-outcome trading
- One-sided betting — "All-in" positions that gamble on a single binary outcome, often around news or low liquidity.
- Over-risking and gambling behaviour — Overleveraging, reckless position sizing, or a non-repeatable style that doesn't reflect disciplined risk management.
- Hyperactivity — Flooding the account with trades to manufacture a result rather than trade an edge.
- Grid trading — Placing layers of buy and sell orders at set intervals to average into a position regardless of direction.
- Martingale — Increasing lot size after losing trades to recover losses, which relies on unsustainable risk.
Account and identity abuse
- Account or device sharing — Letting someone else trade your account, or one person operating multiple accounts to gain an advantage.
- Third-party trading and management — Having someone else pass your challenge or manage your account for you.
- Copy and signal services across accounts you don't own — Mirroring another trader's trades, or running or using "pass-your-challenge", copy-trading or signal services.
- Account rolling — Buying multiple challenges intending to sacrifice some and pass others by chance rather than skill.
Automation and consistency
- Prohibited or exploitative EAs — Bots built to carry out any of the practices above. Expert Advisors are only allowed where your specific challenge permits them.
- Strategy switching between stages — Passing the evaluation with one approach and then trading a completely different, higher-risk approach on the funded account.
Rule-window breaches
- News trading without the add-on — Trading within 10 minutes before or after high-impact (red) news unless you have the News Trading add-on.
- Weekend holding without the add-on — Keeping positions open over the weekend unless you have the Weekend Holding add-on.
What we do expect
Genuine, repeatable trading that reflects real market conditions and sound risk management — the same approach you'd use on a real funded account, applied consistently across every stage.
What happens if a rule is broken
Using a prohibited strategy can void the affected trades or results, deny rewards, close the account, and in serious cases lead to a permanent ban — at any stage, including after funding. If you're unsure whether something is allowed, check your Terms & Conditions or open a support ticket before you trade.
All Axion accounts are simulated. You're expected to trade them as you would a real funded account.
